Cookie Policy

Last updated 23 May 2026

Ocaso Arena uses a minimal amount of browser storage. By default we store only what’s strictly necessary to keep you signed in and the app working. Anything optional asks for your consent first.

What we store

  • Sign-in session — your authentication token is held in localStorage by our backend SDK so you stay signed in across reloads. Strictly necessary.
  • Consent record — your cookie choice itself is saved in localStorage so we don’t re-ask on every visit. Strictly necessary.
  • UI preferences — sidebar state and similar functional preferences. Optional; off unless you opt in.
  • Analytics — none active today. If we add anonymous usage measurement, it will be off until you opt in and you can revoke at any time.

Do cookies make the app faster?

Honestly, not in a way you’d notice. Ocaso Arena is a single-page app that loads its shell once and then talks to the backend over HTTPS. Cookies don’t accelerate that. The one place they can help is letting the server render the right UI on first paint (for example, the right sidebar state) — that’s why we keep the small handful above and nothing more.

Third-party cookies

We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site identifiers. Embedded media (if we ever add it) may set cookies governed by the host provider’s policy.

Changing your choice

Clear the “ocaso_arena_cookie_consent” entry from your browser’s site storage to be re-prompted, or use the controls in your Profile › Legal & data section.
